What are the operating environments available in Botmaker?

Shared cloud environment (multi-tenant)

Botmaker’s technology has several independent productive environments so that you can accomplish your transactions with absolute security. In each setting, transactions are carried out by groups of clients, where processing resources are shared.

Thus, in the same multi-tenant environment (more than one client), clients share processing capacity.

Note: Only processing resources are shared in the environments. No structures or data storage are shared.

Dedicated cloud environment

Depending on the customer’s needs (network traffic, deployment cycle independence not limited by peak usage, number of connected agents, etc.), you can opt for a dedicated cloud environment. In this case, you have dedicated resources for information processing, and our technology is usually updated less frequently. For example, a new version of the platform is installed in a multi-tenant environment and after proving stable for weeks, it is updated in single-tenant environments.

Data storage considerations

Regarding data storage, such data is separated by clients, regardless of whether environments are single or multi-tenant. There are no security differences, so the same security standards are applied in both environments.

About scaling environments

In both environments, Botmaker guarantees scaling without additional costs, except for WhatsApp multiconnect accounts that allow supporting around 300 messages per second. If your company or business has a high volume of operations, we recommend a dedicated environment, since it has been shown to have better availability in the long term.

About instabilities due to unexpected demand peaks

Over the years, we have experienced different scenarios and have been able to respond satisfactorily. However, in the case of unusually high peaks, a few seconds of delay may be experienced by customers sharing the same environment.

Data migration from one environment to another

Regarding data migration, this requirement reaches our technical team as a project and involves a few hours of work. If the bot in which the migration is required is not productive, the migration is faster, less risky, and easier to perform.
