How to set up a profile?
Here you will find information on how to set up your WhatsApp Business profile.

Below we will describe all the fields needed to create an account:
Account name
This field is significant, as it will be your account’s identification.
Important: WhatsApp holds some guidelines for display names. Learn more in “How to define the account name?”.
Business Manager ID
This identification is required for creating an account. Many customers have had problems sending the correct number, so we have created a step by step tutorial:
- Go to https://business.facebook.com/settings/info;
- Select your business;
- Copy the Business Manager ID.
Account IDs cannot be created from advertising agencies. Submit the ID associated with your company’s Facebook page.

Phone number
In general, one number is sufficient; however, more can be used to differentiate between several languages, environments, or countries, for example. If you wish to have more than one account, contact our support team. Botmaker can create phone numbers (with corresponding country and city DDDs) to use for account creation, should you wish to use one of these, just inform us the desired area code in our form.
If you want to send as your own number, please keep in mind that:
- Facebook does not allow us to continue with the process if there is already a WhatsApp account created with that number. If so, the existing account must first be deleted.
- Accounts can also be created with mobile phone (registered) and landline numbers.
- The number will receive a call/SMS from WhatsApp to validate it. The code must then be sent to Botmaker.
Attention: The data above (name, Business ID, and phone number) cannot be changed once the account has been created.
Profile settings
The data below can be modified after the account has been created.
Profile picture
Upload the profile picture that will be set up for your WhatsApp account.
Please note that it must be a square image of at least 192 x 192 pixels. Also, only the central circular part will be visible in the contact list.
Commercial description
Commercial address: If you can’t find it, don’t worry. It isn’t not mandatory.
Support email: support email, for example, suporte@botmaker.com.
Commercial website: link to your business’s website.
About your business: Remember to respect the 137 character limit.
Edit profile
You can make changes to your profile’s description following these steps:
- Go to Menu> Channels> WhatsApp.
- Click on the “profile” icon.
You will see the screen below.
Edit the information you want and then click on “save”.
Your commercial category:
what category does your business operate in? Example: finances.
