How to integrate the email channel into Botmaker?
In this article, you will learn how to integrate an email address from Gmail or other providers to optimize communication with your customers.

Note: We recommend using this integration with the multiple bots and flow manager feature_ to avoid answering emails automatically. To do this, go to Menu>Chatbots and create a Chatbot for the Email Channel, which you can turn on or off depending on whether you want to send (or not) automatic replies. To integrate your email with Botmaker, you must access the platform: Menu>Channels and Integrations>Channels. Select Email. Then click on Connect.
Below, see the step-by-step integration:
Step 1
Click on Connect to start the tutorial that will allow you to integrate a Gmail account or another service. You will see the following screen, where you must click on +Connect Email.
Next, select the email provider you want to connect to Botmaker and click Next.
Step 2
In this step-by-step, we will perform the integration with a Gmail account. You will see the following screen:
Complete the form with your Gmail account information. Make sure you have two-step verification activated and IMAP enabled.
Next, you must create an application password. When selecting the app, choose the "other" option and choose a name for its identification. Click Generate.
This will generate an alphabetical password that you will need to copy to enter the tutorial form.
Once you have copied the app password, click on Done. The following will be displayed:
Once you have completed all the required data in the tutorial form, click on Connect.
Once the integration is successfully completed, you will see the following screen:

Click Finish and you will see the integration details in Menu>Channels and Integrations>Channels:
Adding an account from a different provider to Gmail
If you wish to add another email address from a different provider, for example, Outlook or Yahoo, click on +Connect another email and the tutorial will start again so that you can complete the connection.
