How to integrate Google Analytics 4 in Botmaker?

Google Analytics 4 is an updated version of the Google Analytics platform that allows users to collect and analyze data in greater detail. How to perform the integration on the platform?

To perform the integration, log in to the platform and go to Configuration>Integrations (https://go.botmaker.com/#/integrations/connections). Select Google Analytics 4 and click on Connect.

Next, a tutorial will open to guide you through the connection process. Click on +Connect GA4 to start the integration.

Remember that, before starting with integrating Analytics in Botmaker, you must have a property created. To do so, go to https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/provision/#/provision/create and follow the steps indicated to create your property.

Step 1:

Go to https://analytics.google.com/ and select your property. Then go to Admin>Data Streams

To add a data stream, click on Data Streams , choose the platform where the flow will be created (web, Android app, or IOs App), and fill in the requested data. Next, click on Create Stream.

Once the stream is created, you will get your measurement ID (Measurement ID). Copy it into the platform tutorial and click on Next.

Step 2:

Get the API secret of your data flow.

In the data flow menu, the Events will be displayed. Select Measurement Protocols API Secrets.

There, a new screen will open where you will have to read and accept the conditions for creating an API Secret.

Once the conditions are accepted, the system will guide you to create the flow nickname and give you the secret value.

After having obtained this data, copy it into the tutorial and click on Save Changes.

You are all set! You have finished the connection with Google Analytics 4.

By clicking Finish , you will access the Google Analytics settings. You can review the integration settings or add a new integration, for example, with another property.

Remember that, to access your business reports and metrics, you must first install the Google tags using a website builder or manually by copying the tag provided in the code of each page of your website, just after the <head> element.
