How to send a push notification?

Here you will learn how to send messages en masse to your users, with the possibility of segmentation.

Botmaker allows you to create audience profiles for custom messaging, useful for:

  • Advertising and sending advertisements.
  • Announcing products and services news.
  • Research on products and services.
  • Announcing new bot features.
  • Requests to fill out forms.
  • Offers to subscribe to news.

Possibilities

We can use the following variants and settings for mass messaging within the platform:

  • Customized audiences by attributes (genre, channel, preferences, etc.)
  • Programmed date and time to send the notifications.
  • Support for messages with multimedia elements (videos, audios, images, GIFs, emojis and files)
  • Sending messages with option menus to perform research or obtain data

How to use them?

Accessing the “Audiences” menu, you can see the last scheduled messages and also create a new one.

How to create a push?

Note that you can, through buttons, edit an insert, duplicate it (to generate a new one based on the current one) and delete or disable the insertion (it will not be sent when the scheduled time arrives).

  • To create a new push, click on “Create new,” a window like this will be displayed:

  • You can assign a name to a push by writing in the “new message” field.

This will only serve to identify it on the platform, and will not be visible to those who receive the notification.

In “Audience,” you can define which users will receive the message. You can reach your audience by adding conditions, and then only the tagged users will be pushed.

Take note that as you add or remove conditions, the number of users reached will accordingly change. If you want to push all users, although this is not recommended, you must remove all conditions.

  • Once your audience has been set, your message will be scheduled.

  • And finally, you will define which message will be sent. It could be:

  • -A text: adding “+ Text”.

    • An action, adding “+ Action” you can activate a rule in the bot, write a quiz and/or assign variables to a user.
    • Media: By adding “+ Media” you can upload an image, audio, video and/or a file.

Once you have made the desired adjustments, click on “save.” And that’s it! At the indicated date and time, the users will accordingly will receive the push.

In this case, only users who have identified themselves as current customers of the company and have entered their email address in the chat will receive the offer.


Sending templates via the API

You can send templates through our API. For variable templates, in other words, templates with content that varies from customer to customer; such as tracking code, order number, customer name, API usage is essential. Find out more at:

Attention: When the message is sent by chat, the Word “template” will appear in the Botmaker platform, but this word will not appear to the customers who receive it.
