In many cases, intents evolve or have the wrong triggers or content, or there are new flow possibilities for users. When that happens, you need to edit or delete existing intents.

How to do it

-Step 1: Access to the Intents menu:

Editing a topic

Change the name of the topics/subtopics and check their intents.

All options with the following topics:

  • “More” icon: Check the intents or subtopics within the topic.
  • Delete: you can delete a topic if it is no longer needed for your bot. The removalwill not remove the intents within; this is a security process in case it is done incorrectly.
  • Edit: used to update the name of your topic.

Editing an intent:

Use this to perform the following actions on an existing intent.

  • Edit: You can update texts, add flow, add new triggers, and rename the intent. All changes must be saved before closing the intent dialog window.

  • Copy of the intent: This function will help you if there are equal flows where only the texts will be different. Remember that after creating a copy of an intent, it will copied turned off, and you need to turn it on for it to work.

  • Removal: You can remove an existing intent, except those intents that are part of the platform defaults. When an intent is removed, if it is part of a flow, it will be replaced so that the flow does not stop.

  • Enable / Disabled an intent: You can turn on/turn off an intent at any time. Remember that when it’s turned off, it won’t work for the testing purposes.

Important: once you are ready to go live with these changes press the button “publish” so that the changes are added to your bot and visible to other users.
