How is the new design of the intents screen?
In this article, you will learn about the new design of the intents screen to manage your bot.

We have recently redesigned the intents screen to better manage the conversational flows of your bots. In this screen, you will be able to set up the topics and intents on which the selected bot will respond.
How to access the new intents screen?
You will be able to continue accessing your bot’s intents from Menu>Chatbots. By clicking on “previous version” you will be able to see the intents screen with the previous design.
You will also be able to create a new topic directly by entering the intents screen and creating a new intent or topic from a previously created topic, as shown below:
What other changes were implemented?
1. Two main changes were added in terms of design:
- When adding a new intent or editing an existing intent, you will access a screen where you can add notes or comments that you consider relevant to the development of a given chatbot.
- In the intent responses screen that you are creating or editing, the options are presented on the left for better visualization.
2. To create a new intent or edit an existing one, you will need to define the topic(s) to which the intent belongs. It will not be possible to save “No topic” intents.
3. The actions are grouped by category for better visualization.
4. You will be able to search for variables in a simpler way whenever you need to add a condition in your answers.
5. The “question” option is now an independent category for a more agile configuration in the answers.
6. The options for copying and deleting intents are now on the left side, as you can see in the image below:
7. The search for intents is even richer and more dynamic since you can search by applying different filters, such as:
- Search in
- Trigger types
- Intent status
- Modified or created in
- Modified or created by
- Type of content
- With the actions
- Intents related to code actions
- Intents related to other intents
You are all set! You can now manage your bot’s responses in a simple and differentiated way.
