Tags
Tags are any type of identifications about users to classify them and use them in the future. With tags you can then condition responses, group data for reporting purposes, add context to conversations, help agents identify users and more. On the Botmaker platform they can be:
- Chat topics that the user has historically covered in the chat: these tags are automatically added. This option can be disabled and is set by topic.
- Topics not understood: this is in case the operators need to tag topics not recognized by the bot in a specific chat. The process can be done manually by clicking the “edit” button.
- Manual tags: they are added manually by agents.
- Automatic tags: they can be generated automatically using Intents.
Create a new tag
To create a new label, simply click on the “edit” button, then click on “manage user tags,” represented by “+.” The following pop-up window will open:
Enter the tag name and click on “create a new tag.” To keep it, click on “save.” It can be used manually, as mentioned above, or automatically to a user through an intent. The intent must have the action “set variable.”
In “set variable,” choose the tag name and set it to “true.”
